Manager and Owner,
Kevin Foley
Locatelli Properties LLC is a full service real estate
management company. Locatelli manages properties including retail, office, and
apartments. We aim to provide integrity, quality, and value to all our tenants
and clients.
Locatelli is particularly known for reviving commercial
centers. We restore character to the buildings and continually strive to
attract high quality businesses. We lease to unique retailers and restaurants
resulting in increased foot traffic and more satisfied customers.
We aim to grow. Acquisitions and partnerships are
opportunities that we welcome. We look forward to the future, and we are
mindful of what we have learned from previous generations.
My great grandfather, John Locatelli, left Italy and came
to America in the early 1900's. He started as a mason, became a contractor, and
eventually became an owner. In the 1920's, he owned several multifamily
properties, but what put him on the map were his theaters. In Somerville and
Arlington, The Central, Ball Square, and the Capitol Theatres were the center
of social life during the 1920's, 30's and 40's. With the advent of television,
the theaters were sold in the 1940's. These theaters were featured recently in
a joint exhibition at the Somerville Museum and Tufts University.
My grandfather, Albert Locatelli, helped build the
theaters but also made his own mark by building multi-use shopping centers in
Belmont and Winchester. These properties were designed by Edmund Kelley with a
distinctive style featuring brick and stone details. These centers have been
thriving in downtown locations with a mix of regional and independent tenants.
Tenants include Macy's, Starbucks, Belmont Toys, Elegant Affair, Terra Firma,
Betsy's and many more.
In addition, Locatelli manages a 59-unit apartment
building in Somerville overlooking the Boston skyline. The building is known
for a its elegant design and convenient location near Harvard University and
Porter Square.
Locatelli manages a multi-use building in Dedham Square
at 5 Eastern Avenue featuring 24 apartments and several retailers on the first
floor. Dedham Square has witnessed a revival with an influx of upscale
purveyors of gourmet food and coffee such as Isabella's and Mocha Java's. With
ample parking and easy access to major routes, Dedham Square is a great
location for residents and retailers.
25 Church Street in Watertown, a four-unit retail
building, is another property managed by Locatelli. This building is surrounded
by parking and is an ideal location for stores, restaurants, and service
businesses.
